Parent, Teacher, and Student Evaluations on iPad

Many studies have been conducted to see how students, teacher, as well as parents evaluate the use of iPads for educational purposes. By and large students have found the device to exceedingly helpful for educational purposes and promote its future use in education. However teachers reported that the problems with the iPad can outweigh the benefits, they said that distractibility and the disruption of class due to iPad technical difficulties is very common, and time taken out because of these issues is hard to make up. Parents fear that students will access games instead of conducting meaningful studies, and many teachers share that point of view. Yet teachers will still testify that the iPad did in fact greatly improve learning speed and efficiency for students, and therefore after solving the technical issues they view the iPad as a very useful tool for education. Impact Of Using iPad

Due to its many features the iPad has created great strides in the field of education. These strides have been particularly noticed in the fields of math, and language learning. The iPad can download multiple apps selected by educators that target certain math problems without feeling particularly overwhelming for the students, these students view these exercises as fun ways to truly grasp knowledge. The iPad is also interactive and can therefore greatly help students trying to learn new languages when they are not in school. Many students prefer knowing the correct pronunciations and when doing homework related to language this can be very tough. Possible Problems with iPad

Although the iPad has many extraordinary features that can allow students to be more efficient in their studies and can allow educators more creativity and accessibility in regards to how they would like to present information to their students, the iPad may have some problems in classrooms. One of the iPads key strengths is that it is a mobile learning device, and thus much of what could be classroom work would be delegated for afterschool time, and yet this might be a great weakness. Students will have to use greater attention and impulse control to not be distracted during this time, and specifically not to be distracted by the other features on the device such as games, internet access and much more. Another key issue is that the iPad creates a more individualistic learning approach and can halt collective learning and sharing of information between students, as many studies have shown. iPad Features for Education

The iPad offers a multitude of features to be used for education. The most important aspect of the iPad is the fact that multiple apps can be downloaded on it. Teachers can offer all students to download certain educational apps depending on what level of education the students are in, for example for elementary students a simple fun math app can be downloaded to make sure students revise at home without feeling bored as might be the case with printed out handouts. The iPads main strength is that it also is a template for quick and easy to  access to information, many different videos and and tools can be accessed by all students in class at once. Educators can also have students download pdfs in class and read from pdfs instead of physical prints of intended material. As technology became more and more ingrained in the daily lives of students, it came as no surprise that it would have to utilized in education in order to insure optimal learning. The iPad, a smart tablet, was originally created by Apple as a product of entertainment for its users. The iPad allows for its user to connect online download apps, as well as many other interactive features. This tablet was first introduced as a product in 2010, and underwent several updates with each new model Among the first uses of the iPad for education was its use by the UAE.
